💛 Our Mission
Support • Empower • Unite
At The BCA Hub Youth & Resource Center, our mission is to support, empower, and unite individuals, children, families, and communities before, during, and after emergencies, disasters, and times of hardship.
Founded in 2018 by Tricia Ponicki, The BCA Hub is a grassroots, 100% volunteer-powered nonprofit organizationbuilt on one simple belief: when our community needs help, we show up.
Through our emergency and disaster-relief efforts, community resource programs, preparedness education, youth programs, and lifesaving training, we work to provide people with the resources, knowledge, skills, and support they need to feel safer, stronger, and better prepared.
Our work includes providing essential supplies to families in need, responding to communities impacted by severe weather and disasters, supporting children and youth, coordinating community relief efforts, offering preparedness education, and teaching lifesaving skills such as CPR, First Aid, AED, and emergency preparedness.
But our mission goes beyond responding to a crisis.
We believe strong communities are built before an emergency ever happens — through education, preparedness, compassion, collaboration, and neighbors willing to help neighbors.
🦉 When Our Community Needs Us, We Show Up.
From our local Chicagoland communities to emergency and disaster-response efforts throughout Illinois and beyond, The BCA Hub is committed to meeting people where they are and helping however we can.
We respond with compassion.
We serve with purpose.
We lead with courage.
And we work every day to build stronger, safer, and more resilient communities where no one is left behind.
Together, we Support. Empower. Unite.
We invite you to become part of our mission — volunteer, partner, donate, or simply help us spread the word.
Because when people come together, even a small act of kindness can create an extraordinary impact.
